A) Is it difficult to install?

A. Not at all. It can be installed using 4 screws with either a drill or a screwdriver

B) What type of gate will it attach to?

A. Wood frame gates are ideal.

C) Do I need to replace my gate first?

A. No. If the post that the gate hangs on is sound you can “save” it with the Gate Saver Pro.

D) How do we use it for a new gate?

A. Just replace the diagonal wood brace used on most gates with the Gate Saver. It’s faster than cutting and installing the diagonal wood brace and makes a nice pull handle as well. Note; if you build a new gate you must leave out the diagonal wood brace to allow the gate saver to operate properly. The wood brace is absolutely not needed with the bar.

E) How do we attach it to an old, sagging gate?

A. You can attach it the same way as new gates or you have the option of reversing the angle to pull the gate up rather than push like new gates. It’s so quick you can experiment with both directions to see what works best in your case.

F) Once attached how do I raise the gate so it latches?

A. Just grasp the bar with your hands and twist. Clockwise will raise it but you can try both directions just to see how simple it is. One direction raises, one lowers. Very easy.

G) How long will the gate saver pro last?

A. It will outlive most wood gates and can be transferred to newer gates without a problem.

H) Does it require maintenance?

A. None at all. It’s designed for outdoor use. If it’s been sitting for a few years you could spray a little lube on the threads prior to twisting. It’s not necessary but can make twisting it smoother
